Hey! Did you know you can hear samples of almost everything we have?

PARODIES MUST BE LOCAL

QUESTION FOR DAN O’DAY:

What are your feelings on parodies (songs, commercial & PSA's)...local vs. national topics? I write and sing our morning music parodies and produce the others. But I've been told to keep them local or don't do them! I KNOW you have a view on them as to the fact that if EVERYBODY has heard of it,) it's still somewhat considered local because it's topical.

DAN REPLIES:

Whoever told you that is a fool. "Local" does not mean "within our broadcast area." Local means "of interest to our listeners." If it interests them, it is local.
